Spotify Flow

Spotify Radio is convenient, but it ends up playing a lot of songs that people don't actually like.

So I came up with a new feature that lets users type in multiple artists, moods, and genres, and Spotify only plays what they choose.

Introducing Spotify Flow.

Custom radio with only the artists, moods, and genres you choose to hear, and it makes songs flow smoothly from one to the next.

No matter what you choose, no awkward transitions. No vibe kills. You can randomize Flow or listen to your selections in order (this still allows shuffle within your selections). If you love the way the tunes are flowing, save it.

How It Works

Being able to listen to multiple artists, genres, and moods in radio - and only the ones you choose - is the most obviously necessary feature on a music platform that doesn't exist. Yet. It's not your ordinary playlist, either. It streamlines the whole playlist-creation process and allows you to mix multiple different sounds - while still making the music flow together. You can randomize Flow or listen to your selections in order (this still allows shuffle within your selections).

1. To start a Flow, type in the name of an artist, mood, or genre that you want to listen to. In the mood for something specific? Just choose three or four. Throwing a party and want to have music flowing the whole night? You can choose as many as you want.

2. Click on an artist, mood, or genre that you've chosen and it'll show you which songs will be played. Don't like a song? Just click on the X and remove it from the queue. If you love the way the tunes are flowing, save it.
